one of crispin"s character trait is that he is loyal. he did not run away form bear. He did not steal bear's food despite that he wanted it. He also did not refuse to play the pipe.

In the novel Crispin the cross of lead by Avi, Crispin shows that he tries to be a trustworthy person. Soon after Crispin gets his new master, bear he has tempting thoughts, "More than once I considered dropping the sack and running away. I had to remind myself that I had sworn a sacred oath to stay." (P 93). If I were in his situation I wouldn't have thought twice, I would've just run. Being trustworthy may have saved his life, Bear has taught him useful things to know that were essential. Even though at the moment him staying to his word was a bad thing, it became great, Crispin owes his life to that oath.

In Avi's novel Crispin: The Cross of Lead, the main character, Crispin, always tries to stay positive. It is shown in this quote, "'Let me go," I cried, trying to pull back. 'I only wanted bread.'" (Avi, pg. 77). This shows he stays positive because he is currently being held up by someone, so it helps him out a little bit. It is good because he automatically goes from begging to staying positive. Crispin stays positive a lot in this great novel!

In the adventurous, diverse novel "Crispin: the Cross of Lead" by Avi, Crispin is independent. To show this trait, Avi writes, "I fumbled for my cross and was about to pray for guidance, but found myself pausing. I had already asked God for much, and he had given in abundance. Perhaps it was time for me to make the decision for myself. With that thought I put the cross away and took a deep breath. I would trust Bear. The decision would be mine and mine alone. But I would stay alert for all that might yet come." If Crispin was not an independent person, he would most likely be stuck on a decision of whether or not to trust Bear. Because of this, Crispin decides to stay with Bear instead of running off. With the trait of independence, it is helpful to Crispin, as without he may have be split between two answers and not be devoted to Bear.

In the adventurous novel "Crispin: the Cross of Lead" by Avi, Crispin proves that he is a lenient person, for he gives Bear a chance. Soon after he swears to stay with Bear, he thinks, "More than once I considered dropping the sack and running away. I had to remind myself that I had sworn a sacred oath to stay..Perhaps there would be some advantage...Silently, I prayed it would be so." (Avi, page 93) This proves he is a lenient person because continues to stay with him even if he does not like it. However, Crispin eventually decided that being with Bear was not that bad, for he was kind but strict, like a father. This is because Bear introduced him to music and dancing, and Crispin had never felt such constant joy. Bear also made Crispin believe that you do not always have to have others make decisions for you, you could make your own decisions. Lastly, when Bear brought Crispin to the creek and made him look at his reflection, and then change it by cutting his hair and washing his face and making him look back, to see how much he had changed. When Crispin sees that he has not changed that much, it makes him realize that the part that has changed of him throughout his journey is what is inside, his character and his knowledge. In the end, Crispin trusts Bear and is glad he gave him a chance.

Crispin is a loyal character in the gripping novel, Crisping: The Cross of Lead by Avi.

Crispin is a loyal character in the novel, Crispin: the Cross of Lead by Avi. Even when he was in an uncomfortable situation with Bear, he stood to his promise,"More than once I considered dropping the sack and running away. I had to remind myself that I had sworn a sacred oath to stay" (Avi 93). This quote shows that Crispin tried his best to stay strong and true to his promise. Because of his loyalty, either there will be a positive outcome or a negative outcome. Crispin's loyalty is inspiring, it is hard to imagine staying true to a promise even if the situation is awful. Crispin will have a positive advantage if he continues being loyal.

In the Avi's exciting novel Crispin: The Cross of Lead, Crispin is a trustworthy person. He proves he is trustworthy because "More than once I considered dropping the sack and running away. I had to remind myself that I had sworn a sacred oath to stay. To break it would cast me straightaway to Hell"(Avi 93). This quote shows that Crispin, no matter how much he wants to run, decides to stay because he will break an oath. If I were Crispin, I would try to sneak away in the night. This trait proves very useful, as Bear teaches Crispin many useful things, gives him food, and makes Crispin his apprentice.

Crispin: The Cross of Lead, by Avi, is an eventful novel with an uncertain character, Crispin. Crispin's uncertainty is shown when Father Quinel shocks Crispin with some information, "He took a deep breath and then said, 'Did she tell you anything about your father?' Once again the priest took me by surprise" (Avi 37). Crispin thinks that his father died in the Great Mortality before Crispin was born. Crispin didn't think his father had anything to do with what he was going through and was shocked that the priest brought him up. This character trait is kinda helpful because Crispin will keep learning more about his past but it will frustrate him not to know.

In Crispin the Cross of Led by Avi Crisin is a loyal character. Avi writes "You`re my master", I said. "I have no choice"(Avi 112) This quote shows that Crispin is loyal because he will not go back on his word. This also shows that Crispin is loyal because he does what his master(Bear) tells him to. This character trait is harmful to Crispin because he will not leave Bear even though Bear sometimes mistreats him, but staying loyal Bear helps Crispin survive.

In the book Crispin and the Cross of Led by Avi, Crispin is a young boy who tries to figure out the secrets of his parents and who tries to get freed. "My mother could write?" This statement shows that Crispin's mother kept secrets about herself and her husband from Crispin.

In another one of Avi's interesting novels titled Crispin and the cross of lead, the main character Crispin shows a trait of loyalty. Crispin thinks to himself " sometimes I ran and sometimes all I could do is walk. But I know I had to keep going so I would not be found." (Avi pg.56)

In the exciting novel "Crispin: the Cross of Lead" by Avi, Crispin is a determined person. The trait is shown in the quote," Gradually I found my way with tongue, fingers, and breath. Before the day was half done, I managed to pipe out his simple song" (Avi 123). This quote shows that Crispin is determined because it said "gradually" implying that it took him a long time to get it down. It also that if he spends enough time doing something he will get it. With the trait of determination, Crispin can do anything if he really puts his head to it.

In the fascinating story, "Crispin: The Cross Of Lead" by AVI, you meet a very wary character named Crispin. AVI writes, "'And... you wish me to go with you?' I asked 'Of course.' 'But Bear,' I said, 'what if I'm recognized?' 'By certainty of Saint Paul, they are gone. They'll never bother you again.' 'But Bear,' I said, 'the steward tried to kill me. Twice. And when I was hiding in the woods, he came along the road. I'm sure he was looking for me'" (AVI 120). This quote shows that Crispin is wary through the way that he goes about traveling with Bear. He could have very well not even thought about getting caught, but instead he was wary and took precautions. If Crispin continues to be as cautious as he was when he was going to be traveling with Bear, then he will always be able to be classified as wary.

In the intriuging novel "Crispin: The Cross of Lead," by Avi, the main character is very doubtful. Avi writes, "'Because I have no name." I said, my rage bursting forth. "No home, no kin, no place in this world. I am a wolf's head. Any man may kill me when they choose. Even you. You say you want me to do things. Think things. But when I won't be able to, you'll shun me or betray me like the rest.'" (Avi 118) This quote expresses that Crispin is doubtful because, through anger, he is telling Bear that he knows what will happen and that Bear will break his trust. After years of being let down so many times Crispin has become doubtful of any trust or friendship whatsoever. As long as Crispin holds the trait of doubt, he will never truley feel safe or at ease.

In the novel Crispin: The Cross of Lead, Crispin is a very cautious person. Avi writes "'At a village north of here, a boy went mad. After robbing the manor house, he killed a priest.' I hastily looked down, lest I give myself away"(Avi 147). This shows that Crispin is trying not to give himself away for the crime he did not commit. This shows he is cautious, and does not want to get caught even though he did not commit a crime. Crispin is very cautious as shown in the example, and as also shown countless times throughout the story.

Doubt is also shown because even though he does have a name, Crispin, he still does not think he deserves to have it. Crispin is doubtful because he has been declared a wolf's head, and has a low self-esteem.

In the novel Crispin: The Cross of Lead by Avi Crispin shows that he is very smart. Avi writes "When I realized he had no idea where I was, I dared not move"(11). This quote shows that Crispin is smart because he could've chose to stand up and run, but if he did that he would've got caught, so he chose to stay. This is a very good trait because if he wasn't smart he would be dead.

Crispin is extremely religious in the historical book of Crispin the Cross of Lead by Avi. This can easily be proved when Avi writes, “’ What are you doing?’ I heard him ask. I looked over my shoulder. ‘Praying.’ ‘What’s that in your hand?’ ‘A cross lead.'" This quote easily proves that Crispin is religious because he was praying. Not only this but, he was doing it with a lead cross. This is a trait that I believe is helping Crispin. When you are religious, it helps give you something to believe in to make life more worthwhile.

In the interesting novel Crispin: The Cross of Lead by Avi, Crispin is self-negative. Crispin stares down at the ground in shame, "But I am only bad, I thought to myself, wishing yet again I kew what sin was embedded upon me"(Avi 111). He does this to himself for reasons unknown, he puts himself down like he is bullying himself. He does not need this trait he should stand up and be proud of who he really is and not be afraid.

In the award-winning novel, Crispen: the Cross of Lead by Avi, one of Crispen's character traits is being sceptical. Avi writes, ""Can you read?" "Not more than my mother." "But she could." "Father, you're greatly mistaken." "She could write, too." I shook my head in puzzlement. "These things you say: a name. Reading. Writing. My father... Why would my mother keep such things from me?"(Avi 40). Since Crispen has grown up without knowing about that kind of knowledge, the fact that his mother knew seems surreal. Because of that, Crispen rejects the idea of his mother knowing how to read and write.

In Avi's suspenseful novel, Crispin: The Cross of Lead, Crispin showed that he is a loyal young man. Not long after Bear becomes Crispin's new master, he starts to have doubts. "More than once I considered dropping the sack and running away. I had to remind myself that I had sworn a sacred oath to stay," (Avi, 93) Though Crispin started to have second thoughts, he stayed loyal and followed his oath. Because of his loyalty, Crispin continued to survive longer when Bear had taught him useful skills. Unlike Crispin, I would have run away in fear, despite promising against such. Though it seemed dangerous to stay true to his words, Crispin managed to stay alive and gain survival tips because of a risky and heart stopping oath.

To break it would cast me straightaway to Hell. There was nothing to do but march along and do as God had willed."(Avi. pg 93) Unlike I would have done, Crispin kept his promise and did not run off once again. That decision that Crispin made helped him overall because it turned out that Bear wasnt doing any harm, instead he was helping Crispin by teaching things he needs to know. This is why I think that Crispin is a trustworthy person.

Crispin's curiosity is also a good trait because he is aware of his surroundings. Crispin's traits overall make the book a fun exiting read.

In the novel Crispin: the Cross of Lead, by Avi, Crispin is a very faithful person, in his religion and in others. Greatly frustrated Crispin screams "I don't know what I was going to do. I wanted to gain my liberty. And with God's help I would have, if not for you."(Avi 89) Though he is lacking remorse, Crispin does awfully faithful. His intentions are pure at heart and believes into his holy deity, which are signs of not only someone who is religious, but also faithful. Throughout the story Crispin never seems to bad mouth anyone, whether this is because of his age or his lack of rebellion is unknown but his thoughts are pure.

In Avi's novel Crispin: The Cross of the Lead, Crispin shows that he is doubtful. When Bear tells Crispin that he is going to teach him music, Crispin said, "'I won't be able to learn,'" (Avi, pg. 121). Learning is something anyone can do, but at first Crispin doubts himself and feels hopeless, not knowing he would actually be able to do it.

In the intriguing novel, Crispin: The Cross of Lead by Avi, Crispin shows one of his traits to be a dependable person. After getting a new master, Bear, he has a tempting thought, "More than once I considered dropping the sack and running away. I had to remind myself that I had sworn a sacred oath to stay." (Avi 93). This shows that he is a dependable person because even with thoughts of becoming free, he keeps his word and stays. He constantly had thoughts of running away but he had the will and the discipline to stay and to serve his new, sworn master. For Crispin, this trait is a very helpful trait because with this trait, he was being fed and had more meat than he had ever had in his whole life. Because of this trait, his life has been spared and he has learned much from Bear.

It also shows that Crispin is trying to get freedom by praying and doing what he wants to, but Beat chooses not to give him little to none freedom.

Straight after Bear tricks Crispin into becoming his slave Crispin thinks about running, "I stole an anxious glance in his direction. (P.83) This text excerpt shows Crispins character trait by showing that he was thinking of escaping. It also shows how Bear does not think Crispin is trustworthy enough. The character trait helpful to Crispin because if he had not had it and had tried to escape Bear would have killed him.
